These demo sound clips show some of the possibilities when we add MIDI to an X66. The MIDI sounds work like additional sounds on the Hammond's keys and pedals. The MIDI does not play automatically by itself. The person presiding at the Hammond console plays the MIDI sounds in conjunction with the standard Hammond organ sounds that are normally available from the instrument's keys and pedals. So it is not some automatic accompaniment that a person follows while playing. The person playing must play normally, so MIDI is not a device that makes a beginner sound accomplished, but rather enhances the capabilities of the performer by making a number of very authentic instrument sounds available in addition to what the Hammond provides. In this application MIDI is not intended to play anything automatic such as a prearranged pattern of chords and bass tones.
